Pay attention to your apostrophes — there shouldn't be one in "1700s." You also need to pay attention to commas.
Put spaces after your periods and put your quotation marks after your punctuation. Also capitalize the beginning of quotes:
Maya Angelou once said, "You may bury me in the bottom of Manhattan. I will rise. My people will get me. I will rise out of the huts of history's shame."
